A four-wheel drive taxi will pick you up from your car park within minutes. Advise the driver where you are staying. The 4WD over snow/taxi transfer fees are paid at the Entry Gate to the mountain (along with your car parking fee). YOU MUST call 03 57753112 as you are about to board the taxi. This will allow us time to send a representative to your apartment so you can obtain the keys. Please be very specific with your instructions to the taxi driver. Ask them to take you to the building your apartment is in, this can be found on your booking confirmation. If the taxi driver has any difficulties finding your apartment building, ask them to call us AMS Mt Buller on 03 5775 3112.
Adult: $21.50 each way; Child (aged 3 – 14 years): $13.50 each way. (Children under 3 years are free of charge). This taxi fee includes 2 items of luggage and a set skis/board equipment per person. AMS Mt Buller can provide discounted ski packages for your group including lift tickets, lessons and equipment hire. We also offer FREE wheel chains when hiring equipment. If you would like us to provide a quotation for a Ski Package for your group or individually, please do not hesitate to contact us.
After passing through the Resort Entry Gate you will travel for approximately 20 minutes until you reach Parking Control. Parking Control Attendants will direct you to your parking bay. Unauthorised vehicles are not permitted into the Village. After parking your vehicle, a 4 wheel drive taxi will collect you from the carpark. There is no need to call for the taxi, they will just arrive. When waiting for your taxi, you must call our office on 03 5775 3112 to advise us you have arrived.
Unfortunately we do not generally have a luggage storage area available, except in a few apartment buildings. Due to OH&S Regulations we are unable to store luggage in your apartment prior to it being ready for checkin nor on checkout. We suggest the safest method to store your luggage is to leave your bags in your vehicle. After skiing, you will need to go to the car to collect your luggage prior to arriving at your apartment. We usually recommend that you nominate one member of your group to go to the car to collect or deliver the luggage. This would involve paying for a return taxi fare totaling $43 and any excess luggage over the initial 2 items (not including skis) excess luggage per person is $8 per item. FoodWorks Supermarket Mt Buller is a full-service supermarket with grocery, fruit and vegetables, dairy, frozen, and heat and serve meal options. Foodworks is located at the bottom of Blue Bullet 2 lift on Bourke Street ski run. There is also an extensive liquor department with a beer coolroom and a range of hardware products. The owners also operate a supermarket off mountain, so if they do not stock a certain product on the mountain, they will get it in for you. You can email or fax your orders in advance or you can have your groceries delivered. Delivery is free for orders over $100. A $5 delivery fee applies for orders under $100. Payment must be made by credit card or in person prior to delivery. Groceries will be delivered to the location specified (in the case of multi-story apartments, groceries will be delivered to the base level)
Generally a late checkout is not possible due to the high demands placed on our cleaning staff from 10am until 4pm. However, you are more than welcome to request an early check in/late checkout for a fee of $100. Please contact us to discuss whether we are able to accommodate your needs.
Mt Buller is very confident that there will be snow for your holiday. In fact, were so confident that we offer a Snow Guarantee on pre-purchased lift tickets and accommodation. So you can book accommodation and buy your lift tickets in advance through AMS Mt Buller and if the conditions are not up to scratch, you will get a refund, less a 25% booking handling fee on the accommodation (or at the discretion of management of a lower fee). Of course, some conditions apply (for more details on the Snow Guarantee, look it up on www.mtbuller.com.au or go to the Booking Conditions page). We think this is a great way to show you how confident we are that you will enjoy your holiday in the snow.
Yes, carrying snow chains in your vehicle during winter is mandatory if you intend on parking on the mountain. You will be asked whether you are carrying chains when you pay your resort entry. Chains can be obtained from Buller Sports in Mansfield. Buller Sports is on the right as you enter Mansfield from the Melbourne Road. Keep in mind that if you purchase a Ski Package through us, these wheel chains will be FREE.
The MMBL Ski Express Coach service operates from Melbourne to Mt Buller every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. View more details on their website at www.mmbl.com.au
V/Line Coaches depart every day from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Mansfield. They then connect with MMBL to take you up to Mt Buller Village.You can view the V/Line website at www.vline.com.au and have your fare calculated for you, depending on the numbers in your group.
Mt Buller Snow Guarantee
WHAT IS THE MT BULLER SNOW GUARANTEE?
The Snow Guarantee is provided by Buller Ski Lifts and participating Mt Buller accommodation providers to give confidence when booking a snow holiday. It’s a money-back guarantee on all prepaid accommodation, lift ticket, rental and lesson packages and applies if insufficient snow cover means ‘Snow Guarantee’ lift/s are not operating for skiing/snowboarding in the two (2) days before your arrival.
If the Mt Buller Snow Guarantee lifts (see the table below) aren’t operating in the two (2) days before you arrive, you can contact your booking agent to change your booking to a later date or cancel your booking and get your money back. Please note: You can’t take advantage of the Snow Guarantee on the day you arrive nor during your stay, only between 9am two days prior to your arrival through to 5pm on the day before you arrive. E.g. if your scheduled day of arrival is Sunday, you must call between 9am Friday and 5pm Saturday to apply the guarantee to your booking.

Note: The Snow Guarantee only applies if the lifts aren’t operating due to insufficient snow cover. It does not apply where the lifts aren’t operating due to following:
- Lift closure due to weather conditions other than insufficient snow, e.g. wind or ice;
- Lift closure due to mechanical breakdowns or equipment failure.
The Snow Guarantee also doesn’t apply to the following:
- Retail tickets purchased via the e-store or at on-mountain sales offices;
- Booking fees or commissions payable to booking agents.
